Dynamic Seating Study
Static to Dynamic Seating is an on-going process based spatial inquiry into the natural inclination of the body to constantly move. A non-traditional manner of gesture study was used to map movement spatially using modern dance. Consideration for transition from one posture to another attempts to challenge the concept of furniture’s impact on our body to yield a chair created using experimental design and carbon fiber molding processes allowing both active and passive postures for the user.
